Essential viewing in the unlikely event you’ve never seen it, or even if you have.

It’s an ok movie, but have to say his book is better. Though whether or not the truth was stretched who can say, other than he did live an extraordinary life.

Never read the book but got sucked into the wiki about his life years back.

I’m guessing that like many of the best stories, it’s a mix of real life and hyperbole. Mind you, if even 2% of it is real… I wouldn’t have survived 2 weeks.

Great book, great film. Not much more to say other than Dustin Hoffman is a great actor.

Does anyone else picture Poopscoop peering over the last copy of the radiotimes frantically dialling* his VCR in to record shows incase he misses them?

*Because he hasn’t got to grips with the barcode scanner on the remote.

Lol, cheeky sod! I’m not even that interesting, worryingly.

I have streaming but there are many nights where I just can’t be bothered to actually choose from the almost infinite amount of movies available. On some nights I’ll channel hop instead and sometimes end up watching something I wouldn’t think of streaming intentionally.

That’s also something nice about knowing other people across the country are watching the same film at the same time I am. I can’t really put me finger on it. It8 a little bit like going to the shared experience of the cinema, except it’s not. Lol

Ive got a really good (imo) slightly niche, SF film recommendation for tonight. I’ll post that later.:-)

And then we can all talk about it in the stw playground the next day 🙂

I’ve read the book and seen the film but both more than half my lifetime ago so can remember very little but I know I was impressed by both

80’s mate, I’ve made another post about it, it’s Outland, ’81.
