The front end of that ‘dale looks superb. Enjoy it mate.

I had one of them. It was a great bike but I had to have the smallest frame they made. I thought I could live with the slight toe overlap I had with it. But after dumping me on the road in front of a car I got rid of it. For the life of me I can’t understand why they didn’t use the same geometry as their road bikes than the utter weird size of their cx bikes. I did find surprisingly comfy of road, if it fits I hope you enjoy it.

I got a 52cm (I’m 5’11” with a 31″ inside leg) – my old spesh road bike was a 54 and I admit the ‘dale stands tall and I have very limited ‘nad’ space!

That said the reach is superb and it feels stiff, light and very tough. I got guards fitted for winter use so toe overlap will be a slight issue even with my size 7’s – that said, it was also an issue on my old road bike too, so I know to watch my turns.

Great price at moment, less than 1k – seems a lot with 105, but frame quality is best I have ever seen… its a keeper!

Not planning too much off road, my chameleon is too much fun… that said if have some mega long road rides with a few cheeky shortcuts planned up north scotland.

Looks good but I cannot understand why you haven’t been out on it yet. Cross bikes are for when the weather gets like this..

Cross bike geometery will be quite different from a road bike as their intended usage is very different. Interestingly, I know quite a few people who are very tall, are really good bike handlers on the road, but just cannot get the hang of cross bikes.
