medium sx trail sizing..

Is a medium Spesh sx trail gonna be to small for a 6′ 2 rider?

Depends what you want to do on it. But yes. Likely

I’m 6’2 I had a medium for about 9 months and went up to a large. It’s quite a bit more comfortable.

Yes, for everything that involves pedalling.

I’m 6ft and have a medium ’05 SX Trail, it’s very close to being too small for me.

Shame about the sizing as the price was good & local too…

Have since owned a large SX 2008 and currently have a 2009 Demo and 2010 Enduro both in large

I’m 5’10 and had a medium, sizing was pretty much spot on (it was rubbish, mind, but the right size)

@ Northwind. I’m surprised you say it’s rubbish as bikeradar rated it highly..

Yeah, it’s a minority opinion tbh. But it’s neither one thing nor t’other, barely pedals better than a dh bike and descends much like a trailbike. Maybe if I could jump better I’d have made more of it but I was trying to do that “pocket downhill bike” thing and it didn’t work out.

To be fair, I got mine when there was only really xc, dh or freeride bikes. It was one of the first ‘winch up/fly down type’ bikes. Nowadays it probably descends as well as a trail bike, but climbs like a dh bike…

This is the main reason I refuse to have a go on a ‘modern’ FS, it will lead to a rather large outlay!
