TBH I’ve being looking at bits of the TET in Spain and noticed this

    https://transmoroccotrail.org/

Probably of no use but the book and pictures look good for daydreaming/ planning that next adventure 🙂

(There was an interesting offer of a quad tour on a Spanish quad group next year that was organised by a company  working near one of the deserts who were arranging guides and backup/fuel drops .)

I’ve dug up the details , it was actually November  but  probably worth looking /keeping an eye at the company organising.

They may not speak English but tbh just another thing to learn along with the off road skills your going to be learning 🙂

Does look a lot of fun TBH and lots of pretty pictures on the site with the other tours 🙂

https://www.wikiloc.com/ seems to be reasonably popular in Spain.

I know that you have probably  checked this but make sure that your travel insurance covers motorbikes, off road stuff and Morocco. My mate got knocked off his motorbike near Erfoud at the edge of the Sahara. That was fun trying to get him and his bike  back…..

He says Atlas mountains were great to explore.

I did it with a friend (over 10 days) a few years ago. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/topic?url=https://www.ukgser.com/community/threads/atlas-and-sahara-loop-from-marrakech.149497 refers.

With only 5 days available, I’d say the Todra Gorge loop is worth doing, although from watching recent Itchy Boots videos I believe that it’s now all tarmaced. ? Also, it might not be rideable in February (crossing the Atlas at all will be an experience at that time of year, I imagine!)

If it still exists, the kasbah we stayed at in Nkob is highly recommended, too.

Don’t expect to do hundreds of miles per day! Enjoy!

I was about to query that. We were out with mountain bikes around, I think, November time and found ourselves in a snow storm at a relatively moderate altitude on day one. Fortunately the weather cleared up, but I’d check on conditions carefully before committing to February if you haven’t already done so, or maybe avoid the Atlas.

    I was thinking 200km max.

Feb is the only time available so we may not be able to go into mountains.

Carole Nash will do cover for off road, cost is like £60 rather than £20 without.

Wow, wish I’d known it could be so cheap, I had the option to ride a tiger 1200, ktm1090 or BMW 1800 in Malaysia earlier this yr but all the travel insurance companies I’d looked at refused cover above 125cc

Edit – is that actual travel insurance or just motorcycle insurance you’ve been quoted?
