Funny old game. There is something about VG and this euro trash/galatico/leveraged model that makes this rather amusing.

Christ knows what Ciy or Chelsea will do to that defence. They’ll be aiming for double figures.

So he has solved half the problems we had last year 😉
    …..and with so little outlay

What did he see that meant he thought we did nto need central defender

I still hope a partnership of Rojo and THE JONES can save us……It wont but I can hope it.
Why did he not bring on Shaw when Jones got injured and move Rojo to there ?

Why did he not bring on Shaw

Because he thinks he’s too fat.

but fat people are harder to get round and block more of the goal
Binners have you had a trial 😉

Should be a decent MOTD2 tonight….well, apart for Man U/Toffee fans.

My plan is to make a slow supper at 3-1 and pretend it never happened

All very Denis Law. Had a certain inevitability to it when he brought him on.

As a more general point, what has happened to defending!? Are there any decent centre halves left? Only Chelsea and City look like they can defend – aside from Kompany, Terry, Cahill maybe, I can’t think of any decent defend at all cost defender, dominant centre halves seem rare these days. Or is the game just faster and more attacking than ever before?

Rafael one is a clear foul and then a dive after the meerest of touches

The second penalty is a push at the start when he goes for the ball
5 shots on targets and 5 goals

Then again I am clutching at straws and it was a weak capitulation against a mediocre team

Rooney wasn’t much cop as a ‘ten’ was he. I’d play Di Maria there, so direct.

feels sorry for Mata tbh it is his position [ not rooney’s] and one of the strikers should make way IMHO

MOTD is becoming watchable again with Danny Murphy and Jimmy Floyd.

A mediocre side Junkyard?, how very dare you 😆
As the song goes, ‘They are the greatest team, the world has ever seen’
As a Leicester sports fan today’s win over man u has gone some way to heal the hurt of yesterday’s drubbing, no hammering the tigers got from bath.

Well, that was a nice result to see when I woke up this morning. Had to read it twice before I believed it. Nice to see Man U are coming down to continue last seasons running battle with NUFC.

Man U still need more strikers as they are not scoring enough goals to draw a match

Serious question, what I know about football can be describe by the initials F.O. Can someone explain to me why having thrown alot of money at a squad isn’t pulling in results against newly promoted sides etc? Even an aging/old Man U squad would be better or comparable to newly promoted team but also- add in some new signings. Surely? Man City etc ‘threw money at their squad and it was paying off alot better. What gives?

They have changed their system/way of playing, changed key players who don’t know each other etc. if your trying to do what the boss asks rather than what you normally do it’s never that good to start with. Perhaps the players are not the right players, they need to learn how to communicate with each other, learn about each other and how they play. Imagine if half of your colleagues were replaced by much better people who knew what you did but not who did what and where the tea bags were.

Does anyone else despise that heart shape DiMaria, Bale and that guy from Savage Garden do when they score? (or sing… )

I don’t think it’s any coincidence that the 2 sides who’ll be scrapping it out for the title are the 2 that have ‘proper’ defences, that you’re just not going to get in behind. The game yesterday was a masterclass in the art. You’re not going to get many chances in a game against either City or Chelski. The other defend at all cost defender who springs to mind is Vlaar at Villa. And they look a different side with him out

Man City etc ‘threw money at their squad and it was paying off alot better. What gives?

Yeah, they bought a load of world class players and they all just gelled together immediately, and they won the title on their first attempt. Oh… no…. wait…. hang on a minute…..

It’s not December yet. Why should they be in crisis?

They weren’t anywhere near in the same position as Man U though. There needs to be a full autopsy on Man U.

Yes City had a problem with Tevez but were they losing so and to such teams?

It doesn’t make complete sense. They should be misfiring but into a second season with now the gaps begining to be plugged?

    binners

Tevez? Eh? When City started their spending spree, Tevez was still playing for West Ham, they’d just got rid of a war criminal as owner, and Sven-Göran Eriksson was manager. You think City’s success happened overnight?

Anyway….on a lighter note, David Moyes must be enjoying his breakfast this morning! 🙂

I believe LVG’s start is now worse than Gollom’s!
