After selling my previous lights now found out my brother has ordered a set.
So I’ve been enticed to spend a bit more and the front runner is the Lumicycle LED system twin headlights. or the Lupine Wilma? Anyone got the Lumicycle LEDs and how are you finding them?

will tell you later. It’s charged and on the bars, ready for tonight’s ride.

Have the flood on the bars and a helmet mount Dinotte (for those twisty bits)

To be honest the twin Lumi’s IME are overkill. The Spot lamp helmet mounted is more, more than enough and has a perfect lightspread for single lamp use.

The Lumi headlamps are nice, neat and quite small. The toggle switch is a bit small. There are various modes operated by the single switch which works ok, but a simple high/low would have been prefered for me.

The lights are nice, but £400+ is too expensive for what is on offer with the twin kit, where as £250 is more realistic and bearable for the single lamp kit and is a great package compared to the likes of ayup, Hope, Exposure etc.

slightly abortive first trip since i think my battery is borked, as it switched my new Lumi to power saving mode after only about 10 mins, and then wouldn’t let me choose the high or boost modes thereafter. I couldn’t tell previously if the battery was screwed, since on halogens I’ve grown used to that yellow light and being startlingly underpowered compared to the escalating light wars taking place around me.

Even on med though, still threw out plenty of light to ride by.

Will post again in a few days once I’ve had a chance to try again with my other (hopefully not borked) battery

Used mine for the first time off road last night.
I’ve got the spot, runnning it with a 4.4 amp/h battery. Used it for a 26 km commute along pitch black tow path on monday, then 14kms off road last night.
Its great, the toggle switch is easy, but to be honest as the battery will last about 6 or 7 hrs on high, I pretty much left in high all the time.
Coverage is good and I really couldnt see why you would need a twin set up.

Tried them last night on a majority of boost and high, 2 1/2 hours around the technical bits of brechfa, couldnt fault them, made me ride at full whack through the Technical bit’s berms and jumps. Quicker than with ay-ups but at nearly £200 they should be but the amount of light was great.
