It’s not excellent viewing.
The chap driving the investigation is half compelling due to his backstory and utter tenacity. He’s also borderline worrying and suggestible for that reason.
His main investigator guy is quite typical of the television investigator – think of a camp Roger Cook. He’s been taking the other one for a ride for years.
The ‘recreations’ of meetings between the interested parties are embarrassing. Facial expressions that wouldn’t look out of place in this year’s town hall panto.
It is a bit like a pastiche of the Richard III documentary with that frightening Phillipa woman, with one key difference.
