Conti Baron would be the obvious answer but too expensive for the good ones. Worth it IMO but I don’t like bursting people’s budgets and the cheap ones are probably gash. Like voodoo on the front. Onza Ibex is a cheaper one but not convinced it’s as good, seemed to lack the bite- only had a brief ride on them so that’s maybe not fair.
Combo of a specialized butcher/purgatory works well, neither is a mud tyre, they’re just tyres that do mud. Has to be pretty grim before a butcher stops working- good wide tread so it bites but also clears decently. And the Purg is a bit faster.
Most of the tyres in this thread are pretty skinny tbh
