Oh and scott_mcavennie2 what do you think of the Menjas?

Only had the bike for 2 weeks so its difficult to say really. However, they do take a little messing around with the pressures – Magura’s recommendations are far too low – I think Ive got it set up about right now (110 psi/182lbs). They do seem to be very plush and also very stiff for normal qr forks (the double arch design).

Took it for a nice blast over at swinley today and they seemed perfect.

I’d have no problem recommending them to others (as does the owner of my LBS who runs them on both his bikes).

one of the last rides with this frame. my (now the GF’s) old sanderson. 100mm frame but would run it 120mm with sag. looking back on it a little nostalgically now….. was slack enough for the most of the riding i’d encounter.

replaced with this. simply swpped wheels and fork over. got some bits waiting for me back in UK: new fork, flat pedals, and wider bars and adjustable stem (vro). doesn’t really matter. there’s so much fegging snow at the moment all its good for is a pootle round the block. besides, no hills in munich.

but then looking back at old photos of the sanderson with the same forks on it looks a little more intent….

maybe when i get the lyriks on the alpine it’ll make more sense.

Some kick ass machines, My choice would be:

    1. the white chameleon
    2. any of the sub-zero
    3. any of the BFe

Well I wouldn’t really class 120mm as long travel but here you go, my new zaskar with 120mm reba bolt thru, this is the fastest bike I’ve ever owned, climbs brilliantly and feels very stable on the downs, doesn’t leave you black and blue after a long ride either unlike my old chameleon.

now with a big ring as I kept running out of gears
