Carrolls scored 2 belting goals as well – playing City off the park!

Seeing as the only alternative is to pay for Sky, which is owned by Mudoch of course, who also owns the Sun, I see it as a moral obligation, a duty even, to watch it on tinternet. 🙂

I got so engrossed in the game, I forgot to get meself a beer! A mate is in trouble as he’s meant to be trying to get his son to sleep, but has now woken the nipper up three times. 😀

Superb one-touch football from Liverpool; City have no answer to it. This is meant to be a defensively weakened Liverpool team, but City couldn’t even get out of their own half for much of the game.

I wish Liverpool played this well all the time….

Junky, (not taking the piss)…who is it you prefer to see lose this game…or is it that you’ll just take pleasure in whomever loses?

(forgetting whether either team was a threat pointswise)

That Balotelli just can’t be bothered, can he? Like a spoiled toddler. Can’t stand players like that, who think it’s all about them, and not the team. Torres was like that too often.

Feel sorry for Tevez if he misses the Cup SF. He is proper class, him. Love to see him in a Liverpool shirt.

All of a sudden, as a Newcastle fan I miss Carroll…

Did you see his first goal? Proper thunderbolt. BANG! Goal. No mucking about.

Him, Kuyt and Suarez are causing City utter grief. Bit disappointed we ain’t added to the scoreline this half so far though.

    From the Beeb:

City’s defence is an utter shambles right now – the Budleigh Salterton Rovers under-8s look a better organised outfit than the fourth-placed team in the Premier League.

    😆

I don’t even know where or what Budleigh Salterton is.

That was a very very good team performance and Carroll was superb. Both goals were very well taken and City were never in the game.

Ah well not too bad, would’ve bin nice to see Suarez get on the score sheet, and Kuyt could’ve had a second, but a job well done.

Apparently, Hernan Crespo was more expensive in 2000, at £35.5m, than Andy Carroll in 2011. 😯

I mean, that’s got to be like £70m or something daft now. For Hernan Crespo? 😕

    Football’s a funny old game…

I love those sort of goals, proper HOOFS! into the back of the net.

Batistuta scored the all time classic hoofing, it looked like he’d started his run up on his own goal line before someone laid it up for the half volley midway into the other team’s half. It was like watching a steam train collide with the ball, think the keeper had to dive out of the way…

    Should’ve had at least 5.

Thing is, Torres never really went for shots like that. Always needed to tee it up for a slick finish. Carroll just smacks the thing, and it stays smacked. Kuyt’s bin known to hit the odd screamer too. And Gerrard. Need that brutal ‘ave it’ type shot now and then. Remember Risse breaking Alan Smith’s leg with a thunderbolt? That lad could flipping hit ’em. Should never have let him go, imo.

Spearing and Lucas did an excellent job in midfield tonight, and young Flanagan must have really enjoyed his first team debut.

But City; proof that money simply can’t buy a bit of passion and commitment. Just a bunch of mercenaries really, apart from Tevez. As for Balotelli; well, they subbed the sub. I remember that happening to Luke Chadwick, and I don’t think he played for Man U again. When you are a sub, and then get subbed for being crap, then you know your time’s up really.

    You’ve got to laugh, haven’t you? 😆

no agenda I support my own team i dont hate others. I could quite happily support each team in Europe without issue. Suppose I should hate Liverpool more what with not being a proper Manc. I suspect most see Liverpool and the 19 as the big target /biggest rivals and properly hate Leeds if I can speak for that kind of fan. No real opinion tbh. City are our nearest club not our rivals which probably hurts them more than anything else i could say. I did not even know the term bitters till stw educated me.

Well theres another, it’s called actually supporting your local team and going to the games rather than cheering on ‘your’ team from the comfort of your laptop 😀
I’m sure the orient are whoevers nearest would love to have you.

    I don’t own a laptop so there.

Crap argument. Sky is instrumental in damaging sport, as it helps commercialise sport to such an extent that money becomes the principle factor in winning or losing, and has exacerbated the current situation where clubs with money succeed, yet those without can fail and go bust. All part of the Greed Industry.

Murdoch is a scumbayg of the highest order, who deserves to go bust and end up penniless. Proper (rude word).

And anyway, team owners only spend the TV money on crap statues of Nani anyway.
