    Did you get one @tallpaul?

Still showing as available to buy for me?

Yes, thank you. Logging on at 07:30 was probably unnecessary 😆

So, although I think the Ferrari is ugly, I just bought it! First time I’ve ever bought a model on release day – I feel like a proper Technic groupie now! Not allowed it til the end of the month as it’s a birthday present, but that’s ok, can’t wait to build it and add it to the collection… 🙂

Saw the transformer in store today, a lot smaller than I expected. Saw the Ferrai as well, bit like Cougar, not sure I like it. I just bought some pick and mix.

I was in two minds about the Ferrari, but there’s just something about the way the sides are built that I can’t get past.

    @spacemonkey

Am in two minds about that Ferrari. It’s nice but I reckon another model would have been better. Not for me at £350.

Never really was a Transformers fan. Lots of friends were and I had a version of OP. I think the Lego rendition is a solid build, but doesn’t do anything for me.

The Delorean arrived a few days ago and is tucked away for a rainy day. Also picked up the NASA shuttle 1/2 priced BNIB

Where did you pick up the shuttle for 1/2 price, that’s one I’ve been on the lookout on a deal for a while?

I know what you mean. I like it from some angles but let so from others. I think it was RacingBrick who ripped it apart in one of his vids. If I could throw money around I’d get it, but I can’t justify £350.

FB Marketplace last week. I got lucky with the timing because it had only been posted 15 minutes prior so I was first to ping her. AFOL who admitted she’d never have the time to build it.

How do people not have time to build kits? I have to slow myself down and make them last a few days.

I’d love more time to potter around with Lego, but it has to compete with so many other commitments. As for this particular seller, she’d started a new job and no longer had any spare time.

Two young kids, (currently) 3 busy jobs, and general life admin (shopping, cleaning, bills, maintenance/repairs, exercise, career, etc) mean that on an average week I have about 7-10 hours free. I’m currently sat on:

    UCS A-wing,
    UCS Landspeeder,
    UCS Tie Fighter,
    UCS X-Wing Red 5,
    UCS Imperial Shuttle,
    UCS(~) Guardians ship,
    UCS(~) Space Shuttle Discovery.

…and probably a host of other things I’ve forgotten!

The last kit I built was the Technic Defender with my son.

Hi I want an LED light set for the Lego Lamborghini Sian 42115, can anyone recommend a good quality light set, or has anyone made their own LED lights?

My latest creation is getting close to completion, star wars themed obviously, appears in 2 films, ground based, lots of wheels, can you guess what it is yet?

Daffy has it, was in Rogue One as well, I’ll get some pics up once it’s done, been quite a quick build, only about 6 months so far, wheels took a couple of months, think there are about 150 pieces in each one.

    +1 Light my Bricks

General consensus is that they’re pricey, and not always easy to fit, especially if retro-fitting, but the quality is top dollar as is durability and longevity.

PSA Amazon Prime Day today so there are quite a few 30% or so deals on Lego. I snapped up some Star Wars set as jnr and I are getting more into MOCs.

Lego’s now added a Camara Z28 to their list. 1458 pieces, £150 – so is that a bit of a bargain, or an oversimplified con?

I’m always amazed people have both the time and bricks to do these things…

I promised some pics of my latest MOC and build process.

Pile of bits and build, no forward plan generally.

Some reference images as a guide
    .

Spent this evening removing the slope from the cab section after misreading the image and reworking the turret…..

Getting close now, waiting for some pieces to turn up.

    @sweaman2
it’s like any other hobby couple hours here, couple hours there, I can go months without touching the stuff (i can kick the habit whenever I want). Ebay is a good source of cheap pieces, had 1.6Kg of grey pieces delivered today, cost £12 plus postage.

Thanks for the reminder. I’ve got an F40 (40th bday present – ahem – 5 yes ago) and a Saturn 5 that I guess really belongs to the kids that would both benefit from some cool lighting. I think I now know that this years Xmas / bday present requests will be.

It’s looking like the Autumn (Fall) Star Wars UCS release will be a 6000+ piece Razors Crest from the Mandalorian. 75331.

    Possibly something like this MOC.

Anyone need a 42096 Porsche 91 RSR? Boxed, with instructions. Nice little technic project I built with my boy. Will come fully dismantled ready to build. Currently £120 on Amazon (cheapest I could find) but I got it a few months ago for less than that. The going rate seems to be about £70-90 on Ebay. £55 inc postage on here?

Just had a email saying I’ve been at my company for 5 years and to click here to redeem my gift; I thought it would be a pen or something similar but no. 550pts to buy from a very very long list of goods including Lego.

Just ordered the new Lego Technic Batmobile….nice. best ever long service award (not the 5 years is that long!).

I would have gone for Dom’s Dodge Charger but my boy wants that for his birthday.
