I’ve got a 2 year old Rav 4 which is in my name but being driven around by my ex under the same arrangement, it’s nothing new, exclusive or immoral.

Sorry, what? Like wtf? I genuinely find it hard to believe anything you’ve written in this thread

Can this be made in to a docu-drama? Who’d play the OP? Who’d play ling?

OP – Billy Mitchell off EastEnders. Bit of a bellend, always looking for the easy way out, constantly in the tumbledrier of life.

    Ling – Ling I guess.

    Seems like one to me

I bet ling can flounce better though.

21 pages and our first flounce. I’ve checked and it has been confirmed.

    (doubt you have any)

I did laugh at that very playground-esque taunt.

When I started reading there were 16 pages & when I finished there were 18.

I’ve been self-employed and would never have even contemplated a PCP or lease car and as for doing it on a £30k vehicle and before starting on a contract….madness.
If you’re not absolutely certain you can afford it – not just car but anything – don’t do it.
In the OP’s circumstances I would have bought something functional, not new as that clearly wasn’t necessary or sensible.
    Claim mileage at 45p/mile.
His dismissive comment about BIL knowing the risks etc gives the impression he couldn’t care less about others and particularly about someone who was doing him a trucking great favour.

As for Ling, her online presence is amusing; as for the legal right she asserts – use the legal system.

    Morally, I’m with Ling.

I enjoyed the youtube webcam posted several pages back it reminded of some street scenes from the original Blade Runner – but in blazing technicolour.

GeordieMick is actually 14 and on half term. He only started this thread because he’d **** himself to a standstill and got bored.

I’ve eaten so many Jaffa cakes during this thread, even my farts are orange …..

    My life…..

I started on Ling’s side as getting out of a (as I thought) honest contract by potentially fibbing Mick is to me morally wrong.

Then I switched sides because morally wrong or not, it does seem to be legit, a fact that Ling still disputes and may yet be proven right to be.

Now I don’t know where to side because Mick is a right abusive grumpy fecker too.

this is just now a place for people to get personal and sniff about business that’s quite frankly not theirs

you can’t post a question asking for advice and then complain about people poking their noses into business that isn’t theirs. IT’S WHAT YOU ASKED FOR!

I hope it goes to court and they both lose, frankly.

I thought Jaffa cakes were apricot jam?

Or so you mean your farts are the colour orange rather than smell orange?

Any deals on a T6 Ling. Could do with ordering one, just for the fun of it. Then cancelling it after the buzz of a new van wears off. Best tread ever

    Like lings business model?

She’s honest and upfront. I’d do business with her because I know where I stand. As for the OP, both professionally and personally he falls short on honesty and ethics.

Not so. Poopscoops has already flounced at least once. Just don’t make me go and quote it.

Jack Nicholson to play Poopscoops in a “YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH” characterisation.

Judy Garland as Dorothy/Ling – “we’re not in Kansas now Toto”

    Everyone else as the munchkins.

Yep. And like a lot of racist brexiteers* thinks the law is something that exists only to make her life difficult. She’s also hacked off at cyclists that swear at her. I assume they’re not all geordiemick (or he must cover a helluva lot of miles) I really wonder why they swear at her, and am surprised that this doesn’t bother the cyclists of the forum more than it seems to.

*Pending evidence, I’ll say 83.78% of them 🙂

I thought we’d agreed on Jackie Chan to play Ling?

Everything you’re signing up to is there to read, check and make an informed decision on. So while there might be an element of “buyer beware”, you at least know what you’re getting into.

Trade with the OP as a buyer or seller and it appears he’ll renege on the deal and has form for leveraging any bit of available small print or terms to get away with it, regardless of morals.

Better the devil you know and all that……

To be blunt, OP just comes across as a bit of a wideboy. I certainly don’t trust a word he says.

Better the devil you know and all that……I quite agree. However there has been one (at least) informed legal opinion that suggests her opinion of her own position is not quite how the law sees it. The doesn’t mean the OP is a hero, or hasn’t transgressed any moral boundary, it just says that however unethical the band on STW find his behaviour it’s not entirely clear, legally speaking, that there’s actually anything wrong with it.

Just to step back a second. Has Ling cancelled the agreement and just walked away, or is this all going further?

Edit: I am writing a song about the event. However, I am going to wait till OP gets on financially stable ground, and tries to get a car off Ling again.

The song will be called Please Re-Lease Me.

Wow, this thread has moved on from this morning! Regardless of anything else i’m amazed that the op has the front to keep posting having outed himself as a compulsive fibber.

    Brilliant stuff, keep it up.

I don’t believe there was ever an agreement, but she does seem to have flounced.

I expected something more spectacular, come on Ling.

Bobby Davro to play the parts of both Simon and Mick. In a stunning turn that the Gateshead Gazette remarked was acceptable and better than that new porridge.
