Sounds to me like someone wants something they can’t afford (at the moment), gets someone else to finance it, realised they can’t afford it so changed their mind. Not sure why the lease company should take all the risk in this instance, just from a moral perspective.

The lease company isn’t taking any risk, they took an order for a car and then ordered it from a dealer before getting all their paperwork back. That’s the crux of the matter. There own chat log stated it won’t be ordered until the paperwork is returned. She wants me to pay £600 because they can’t wait to place an order with a dealer until the paperwork is returned.

My situation has taken a sudden turn and it was best safe to cancel within a well documented cooling off period but Ling’s seem to be above the law….

This thread started out being quite funny, then some of the posts went pretty harsh and the OP seems to have taken a kicking. I appreciate that he’s not helped himself.

The OP is out of work and has just been told a contract has fallen through. He’s not in a position to get credit for a car (presumably needed for work) so has asked a friend/relative for help. In this situation he’s asked to cancel the order and is facing a potential bill of £600. Maybe some of the behavior is influenced by these pressures.

Others might have handled the situation differently, but it’s crazy that this is a forum where folk are posting to help each other on subjects like depression, addiction, marital break ups, financial burdens etc. But some posts on this thread it’s OK to give someone another kick when they are asking for help.

OP – I hope you get it sorted one way or another so you can just move on.

Ling – It’s probably best just to move on as well.

excuse me?? serial chancer how **** people over?? You clearly don’t know me and on the basis I’ve cancelled a T6 because the salesman lied to me about lead times and i’ve bought an incorrect tablet in the past?

I don’t have any debt, not thats your business…. But tope marks for being a judgemental w-anchor

Do you really want to go there?

My dilemma is this: Neither myself, or my two brothers can be of much help either financially or physically. One lives in Gibraltar, the other in far north Scotland and due to our own various personal reasons none of us are well off at the moment.

I lost my job in August and started my own business, I’m up to my eyes in debt and if my business don’t take off in new year i’m bust.

Me being an utter plebtard (and not noticing finer details) i’ve just won and paid for a Microsoft Surface 3 on eBay. THEN I realise it’s not the PRO 3 which is bigger and better blah blah blah and i’ve probably paid over the odds.

I’ve contacted the seller with a polite message asking to cancel the sale.

Can I do anything to force the cancellation of the sale?

    Yes, I’m a big tit too….

You talk of reneging on deals, being pushed out of a business despite being a top biller, being up to your eyeballs. It’s all there in black and white sunshine.

As a hiring sales manager, the only reason I’ve ever had to get rid of a good biller is because of unethical conduct that might not quite step into “misconduct”. So you manage them out.

Everything in your post history indicates someone with little to no regard to what your actions do to others, as long as you get what you think you’re entitled to.

If me calling you out in that (as plenty of others on here have) smarts a bit, so be it.

How’s that new letting agency coming on now the agency fees thing has blocked the “easy money” approach to fleecing tenants…..?

OP – don’t back out now.

No option, Ling has cancelled the order herself! 😆

we were waiting for a week until the position of my employment is clearer but she took it upon herself to pull the skoda from under the yoda 🙂

Quick (genuine, promise) question for the legal beagles – is filming in a small claims court session permitted, why are there those drawings on the news?

What did you do? Walk away from it all and let someone else pick up the tab? All legally of course.

Ling’s seem to be above the law….

Well that’s a matter of perspective.

I’ve openly called her a racist and an extortionist. I’m a little disappointed that she hasn’t threatened me with legal action yet.

Some, all or none of that may be true, but it’s of no legal significance. The OP asked for advice rather than a character profile.

If the question posited was, “hey, am I an arse or not” then your comments may be more on point. (-:

Nope, its what Ling agreed yesterday, until she saw this and cancelled it cos she can’t work out form her own messy ineffective messaging system who said what….

If the question posited was, “hey, am I a morally bankrupt arse or not” then your comments may be more on point. (-:

And I think we know the answer to that question!

Just been thinking how much this thread has riled me – can’t decide if it’s the sheer audacity and lack of ethics on the OP’s part misusing the letter of the law, or the thought that he’s the kind of shady prick who gives those of us who do a good, ethical, ‘client first’ job of sales a bad name through his professional and personal conduct.

Mick, intentionally or not you do seem to present different versions of the truth. I’m still not clear if you are the potential driver, leasee, best mate, brother in law or what

23 years of sales and absolutely ZERO misconduct issues here, but thanks for your concern and unfaltering judgement based on a few posts asking for help and of course, not one single moment in my presence.

Maybe if you were in my circle of friends (doubt you have any) then you may realise that i’m the first person to jump to other people’s aid in times of need instead of relentlessly reminding them of their mistakes in life.

I can only presume the only thing you sell is condascending patriotic advice, presuming you’re as minted as Ling is at shifting motors for £200 a pop.

There’s only one version of the truth that’s been put forward by me in the last 20 pages and on the messages between Ling and I and Simon and Ling.

I’m not going to sit up all night re-iterating stuff i’ve said already.

Time this thread was locked now cos it’s only becoming a blank canvass for holier than thou types like Andym to spit his venom over…

Gotta say, if the OP has a mate who is willing to enter into a PCH agreement for a thirty+ grand car on his behalf, it either speaks volumes about the trustworthiness of the OP or about the gullibility of the mate.

Mick you seem to get very angry when challenged. Is this because you have something to hide, or other pressures in your life bubbling under?

Why were you pushed out of that sales job when you were billing 150% of target?

If you had a friend of 25 years and an exemplary credit rating would you risk it by helping a friend/family member who would actually put it at risk?? No, but he knew that’s not going to happen because he’s been deeply involved in the scenario up until I decided that it would be better to play safe and advise him to pull the plug NOW whilst the car was still in a suspected cooling off period.

He knows he’s have his money every month because he’s been privy to discussions. He hasn’t built his own fairly envious net worth by being gullible.

And calling andyrm a w-anchor? really? After the plainly immoral behaviour demonstrated? The VW van? The lying? now the stupid Skoda? I have no idea why the OP feels that they can be so bullish and needs to wind his bloody neck in IMHO.

who’s Angry? I just think you’re a troll and a bit of a see you next tuesday.

I wasn’t pushed out, I was bought out because the company I worked for was s small family firm and I landed them the biggest project of their history which meant they didn’t want any sales representation for a good year or two so they bought me out, which paid my debts off…..

It matters not, lincompoop has suffered no financial loss unless the screen shots of the chat are an elaborate photo shop.

It’s no different than a person walking into a shop and saying, hey I wanna buy this thing, do you offer finance?

    Shop says Yeh.

    Person says nah, actually.

Shop says that’ll be £500 plus Vat.

    Person says waaa?

Shop says I’ll sue you bitch!

    There is no contract established.
The goods are still on the shelf for the next punter.

He wasn’t lending me anything, he was putting a car in his name and i’d reimburse him the money month by month.

I’ve got a 2 year old Rav 4 which is in my name but being driven around by my ex under the same arrangement, it’s nothing new, exclusive or immoral.

No filming is bad contempt of court go to prison bad.the drawings are because filming is bad I think sketches are also bad so they do them out of the court room but I’m not sure of that .the supreme court does film/broadcast its own sessions but you still can’t make your own film.

Interesting. You call anyone who dares question you a ****.

And the threads you started suggest animosity when your employment terminated – maybe I’m wrong, but none of this rings quite true, even more so when we see your 5 or 6 versions of events on this thread alone.

I’m far from a troll, just someone who does things the right way, the moral and ethical way, and works a long game rather than constant quick wins based on short sighted greed and disregard for others. But hey, if that makes me a troll, a **** and a ****, the cap fits.

I just hope our paths never cross personally or professionally.

That’s the point tom’s making – if your mate/brother-in-law is as wealthy as you say, why can’t he just lend you the money for the car?

    Anyway. I’m exhausted! 😆

Blimey, I scanned this thread this morning at 3 pages, now 21!! I wanted an early night, seems like I may have to go through all the other pages first, luckily I looked at Lings page this morning. Anything like that before bed and I’ll be wide awake.

Can this be made in to a docu-drama? Who’d play the OP? Who’d play ling?
