A friend is looking for an LBS recommendation in Altrincham – anyone able to do so? Thanks!

Used NWTB in Cheadle for our three earlier in the summer. Mainly ok

BikeShak in Altrincham have always done a good job with my MTB and Road bikes.

Have also used NWMTB as Generalist says and  Craig Evans of 50:1 often pops up on the spanners there

Haven’t used him but a chap has recently set up a bike maintenance shop in the Arches, Viaduct road (on the canal next to Kickback coffee): Breakaway Bike Maintenance.

Altrincham bike shak is no more.

I always used them am still feel homeless in a bike shop sense.

We are using NWMTB at the moment and have been very happy with them.

Wills Wheels Stockport ! TBH I don’t use LBS’s much these days, but I know Will and he’s built me wheels and a bike in the past. Proper bike shop.

Ken Fosters in Chorlton is great, easily the best local one I’ve used though its maybe a 20/25min drive from Alty

Really ? I had to re-index the gears on a co-workers bike, twice after they were serviced at Ken Fosters.

NWMTB. Going there today to pick up some simple parts to get my mother’s ‘retro’ bike in good order.

BikeShak no more? ☹️ that was our go to place for renting bike boxes for the Alps. I remember when that was Neil Walton’s down Warburton street in Didsbury.

    Twelve50 bikes in Frodsham.

Not especially close to Altrincham but only from 5 minutes from the M56 junction.
