Jeremy Corbyn

Does he accept all the findings of the report…………..
Because he doesn’t say that
Good spot. Very smart wording…
“I fully support Keir Starmer’s decision to accept all the EHRC recommendations in full and, in accordance with my own lifelong convictions, will do what I can to help the Party move on, united against antisemitism which has been responsible for so many of history’s greatest crimes against humanity.”
…it’s enough for me at this stage though… let him move on.
grumFree MemberIt sounds like the procedures were a mess but does nobody else find it a bit surprising to discover that Corbyn decided personally to suspend Ken Livingstone? The narrative in the press was quite the opposite – it was routinely strongly implied that JC was interfering to try and stop people being suspended for AS.
Even if you don’t like JC being ok with him being wilfully misrepresented is rather strange.
In July 2016, the Labour Party wrote to Ken Livingstone, confirming that administrative suspension had been imposed in relation to an antisemitism complaint ‘after conversations between the Leader of the Labour Party and his staff’. This clearly shows the involvement of the Leader, then Jeremy Corbyn, and LOTO staff in the decision to suspend Ken Livingstone.
binnersFull MemberPoor Jeremy.
Everyones out to get him because he represents such a threat to the establishment with his honesty and decency
#myprimeminister
binnersFull MemberThat statement sounds like somebody finally broke through the wall of cult members that surround him with their tidal-waves of fawning sycophancy and said…
“do you know what Jeremy?… you know your reaction you gave to the publishing of the antisemitism report? Yeah… well to be honest with you, mate, it made you sound like a right ****!”
And him coming out with ‘a correction’ today is a bit like when the Daily Mail publishes a 2 sentence apology on page 32, 3 months after splashing a glaring lie right across their front page, because a court judgement said they had too.
kelvinFull MemberI think he made the ‘correction’ at the time of his suspension… this is just a cut and paste from that. Agree about timing though… the day of the report being published was a golden opportunity wasted. Hopefully now he gets to move on (but stay in Labour)… but the damage was done on the day.
big_n_daftFree MemberI think he made the ‘correction’ at the time of his suspension… this is just a cut and paste from that.
If it is it is what got him suspended, he wouldn’t accept the report’s findings.
…it’s enough for me at this stage though…
You don’t exactly set a high bar do you. As always with JC it’s what he doesn’t say. He agrees with KS decision to implement the recommendations, he doesn’t say he agrees with the findings of the report. That will probably keep him suspended.
let him move on.
He should have moved on at the last election to spend more time at his allotment. At this rate he’ll be doing an impression of a Soviet era leader at the next GE. Just think of the young talented people blocked by this dinosaur
dazhFull MemberAs always with JC it’s what he doesn’t say.
Try to have a think about what a stupid comment that is.
binnersFull MemberAs always with JC it’s what he doesn’t say.
The word ‘sorry’ seems to be one he struggles with.
I suppose that when you’re infallible, its not something you need in your vocabulary
grumFree Member“I am sorry for the hurt that has been caused to many Jewish people. We have been too slow in processing disciplinary cases of, mostly, online antisemitic abuse by party members. We are acting to speed this process up.”
Jeremy Corbyn, 2018
“Obviously I’m very sorry for everything that’s happened but I want to make this clear I am dealing with it.
Jeremy Corbyn, 2019
“I regret the pain this issue has caused the Jewish community”
Jeremy Corbyn, 2020
But don’t let facts get in the way eh.
kelvinFull MemberYou call those apologies?!?
I’m sorry for everything that has happened as well.
> shrug <
You don’t exactly set a high bar do you.
Not for ex-leaders… no… just let him and everyone else move on. I set a much higher bar for someone with actual power, or asking to be given power. Let’s just leave Corbyn alone now.
dazhFull MemberWell that didn’t last long did it? I wonder if the party accountants freaked out at the hundreds of thousands per month they were losing after members cancelled their direct debits in protest. I’ll have to decide whether to restart mine now. I think I’ll wait for some commitments on the green new deal and signs they’re willing to consider some new solutions on the economy. Hopefully this can draw a line under the internecine fighting, but I doubt it. The rightwingers will be back with something else to stir the nest before long.
binnersFull MemberI see that his characteristically peevish “sorry/not sorry” hit the minimum required to stop the sixth formers howls of injustice and got him readmitted.
Back to his comfort zone. Being a total PITA on the back benches, voting against the labour party and doing all in his power to ensure a Tory government
Same old, same old…
dissonanceFull MemberSame old, same old…
Yeah you are highly predictable. Although well done for not going for the primary school level hilarious photo.
pondoFull MemberFrom…
The word ‘sorry’ seems to be one he struggles with.
To…
I see that his characteristically peevish “sorry/not sorry” hit the minimum required to stop the sixth formers howls of injustice and got him readmitted.
I hope you didn’t run into anything, reversing that quickly.
SamBFree MemberBack to his comfort zone. Being a total PITA on the back benches, voting against the labour party and doing all in his power to ensure a Tory government
Not really sure how voting on his personal principles is “ensuring a Tory government” – maybe just representing the vies of his constituents? Who cares though eh, best just sent him off to Keith’s re-education gulag.
After 2017’s campaign sabotage, the chicken coup, the CUKTIG splitters, the internal party members deliberately obstructing Corbyn’s efforts to improve complpaints handling; the sheer **** gall of saying “Corbyn is ensuring a Tory government” is mind-blowing. No wonder the members who were drawn to the party with some hope for a new direction are now leaving in droves.
binnersFull MemberI hope you didn’t run into anything, reversing that quickly
Reversing?
You know what sorry/not sorry means, right?
The non-apology?
The thing that’s crafted to sound like an apology, yet isn’t one?
It’s one of Borises favourites too, used when he’s suitably unrepentant after calling people letterboxes or something.
But Jezza shares the same massive narcissism with Boris. He didn’t actually apologise because he’s so self-righteous and sanctimonious he simply refuses to accept he could ever be in the wrong, so therefore could never have anything to apologise for.
And once again he’ll be revelling in this because it’s all about ‘Me Me! Me!’ as all the Koresh-level cult members all take to Twitter to compete to see who can blow the most smoke up his arse.
It’s massively damaging to the Labour Party and a gift to the Tories, obviously, but then when did he ever care about that?
The Tory sleeper cell strikes again! They sent him out to try and restore their poll lead since labour had established one since he left
kelvinFull Member£50 a year?!? Is that right? I can join the SNP, LibDems AND Conservatives for that… all three of them that is, not just one.
grumFree MemberBut Jezza shares the same massive narcissism with Boris.
I would argue you trying to make these threads all about you is far more narcissistic.
ransosFree Membersee that his characteristically peevish “sorry/not sorry” hit the minimum required to stop the sixth formers howls of injustice and got him readmitted.
Trans: independent inquiries are ok as long as they give you the answer you want.
binnersFull MemberI would argue you trying to make these threads all about you is far more narcissistic.
Oh, I just leave that to the
sixth formersusual suspects. You lot love making it about me. I’ve repeatedly suggested you start another thread explicitly for that purpose as you seem to enjoy it so muchSee… you’ve done it again. 😃
It’s all very flattering, but back on topic…
pondoFull MemberYou lot love making it about me.
I can pretty much guarantee that your regular rantings would be neither missed nor mentioned, should you ever chose to spare us from them. Give it a try, why don’t you?
binnersFull MemberYou love it!
Anyways… much as you lot get off on talking about me, getting back to the matter in point…
we’re in the middle of a pandemic that the Tory government is handling appallingly while corruptly handing out multimillion pound contracts to their mates, over 50,000 people are dead, Boris has ****ed off the entire population of Scotland, a no deal Brexit looms, and what’s the lead story on Newsnight…
JEREMY ****ING CORBYN!!
FFS!!! If anyone still believes Corbyn isn’t actually working for the Tory party then they’re delusional
It’s the only rational explanation
He is their most loyal and efficient servant. All their birthdays and Christmases come at once.
There’s no way on earth that somebody not being paid directly by Tory Central Office could ever be such a gift to them. He literally just keeps giving
Boris must be laughing his tits off at this. Starmer will have his head in his hands
When we hoped the useless old **** had finally shuffled off to the allotment it was just wishful thinking. He still has so much more damage left to do to the Labour Party yet
Oh joy!
Fair play to him for his ceaseless commitment to the Tory party. They really should give him a knighthood for his service
ransosFree MemberHe still has so much damage left to do to the Labour Party yet
On the bright side, it’s a reason for you to entertain us with your small stock of hilarious pictures.
binnersFull MemberYou back on to talking about me again? Rather than address the actual issues? How yawn-inducingly predictable. That’s the common room for you.
Anything to say about the actual subject of the thread? Rather than just slagging off anyone who dares to criticise your frankly weird non-personality cult?
No… thought not
Standard. 🙄
In case you’re bothered, the third story on Newsnight is about yet another £250 million dodgy PPE contract to the Tory’s mates.
But we all know that Jeremy is far more important than that, isn’t he?
Do feel free to fill us all in on the situation is in Venezuela…
ransosFree MemberNo picture? Just the one reference to students?
You’re slipping old boy, and it’s sad to see. Perhaps you should follow your advice to Corbyn and shuffle off to the allotment.
binnersFull MemberStill nothing to say?
Still rather just talk about me?
An empty vessel, just like your useless beardy hero
kelvinFull MemberWell, at least we’ve all moved on from talking about Jeremy Corbyn. Can we get the thread title changed?
ransosFree MemberIf you spread manure over the soil now, it’ll be just right for planting in the Spring.
binnersFull MemberIt should be titled ‘Binners’ as slagging anyone off who dares to criticise the allotment-dwelling ****-wit seems to take priority over everything
It seems the truth hurts when you have no answers and exist in some Waco style cult
binnersFull MemberI planted daffodil and tulip bulbs on Sunday. I fundamentally disagree with uncle Monty
Got anything to say about your messiah? Defend the indefensible?
The present leader of the Labour Party is doing his best to clean up Jezza’s mess
I know that this has been another painful day for the Jewish community and those Labour members who have fought so hard to tackle antisemitism.
I know the hurt that has been caused and the trauma people have felt.— Keir Starmer (@Keir_Starmer) November 17, 2020
ransosFree MemberGet some sleep, you need it at your age, and there’s the Christmas potatoes to lift in the morning.
big_n_daftFree MemberFFS!!! If anyone still believes Corbyn isn’t actually working for the Tory party then they’re delusional
It’s the only rational explanation
He is their most loyal and efficient servant. All their birthdays and Christmases come at once.
I don’t think the StB are still going
ransosFree MemberNo mention of Ramsbottom yet?
I’m sure you can get a prescription for that.
deadlydarcyFree MemberI’m sure you can get a prescription for that.
Do you think you could get one for whatever allergic reaction binners provokes in you?
dissonanceFull MemberDo you think you could get one for whatever allergic reaction binners provokes in you?
More entertainment than anything. Binners comes a close second to trump in projecting his own failings onto others.
binnersFull MemberIn English?
Maybe try some punctuation?
Hey… here’s a mad idea…. instead of just slagging me off, why not address the issue of the thread and justify your god.
It’s a pretty Leftfield thought, but then you are lefties so surely your natural territory
Let’s all benefit from your undoubted wisdom
GO…!
