As a My First Full Susser or simply a full suspension for short riders there is a whole lot going for the Jamis Dakar A2.

If it’s “OK” at £1300 would it be fair to say it was “great” at the ~£700ish it was available for recently?

I liked my older version of it, right until a sizeable crack appeared around the seat tube… And the alleged crash replacement provided by Jamis did not exist, as the bike was from Evans but now is from Go Outdoors…  Shame, as it’s a nice bike and looks to be great value still.

Father Christmas reckons it will be.

For £1300, in smaller sizes, it’s competing against bikes like the Neuron Young Hero and various flavours of Boardman, that’s a tough sell for this bike…

Didn’t spot the price – I’ve only seen it at £700ish.  I’d say there’s plenty of better value bikes about if it’s over £1000.
