I’m looking for inspiration on a retro build, so pics please of anything out of the ordinary would be good, as with a few exceptions, colour schemes seem to be a bit predictable these days.

It is a shame that cost has confined those wonderful paint jobs you used to get with Klein, Joe Murray and more recently Ferrous seem to be a distant memory.

Retro and good looking paint jobs are mutually exclusive, aren’t they?

I quite like the airbrushed look and the seriously retro all-one-colour-powdercoated-neon type, but I think you have to co-ordinate colours very carefully and I dont have that skill 🙂

I quite like the Klein but the toptube stickers really spoil it IMO.

Finbar – that’s lovely and kept in the right place . Where did you get it done and how much if you don’t mind me asking ?

The Vicious designs are are a bit too ‘in your face’ for my liking but the fluorescent green is quite something.

I had this one done at Triple S and although the pic is too far away to appreciate it, it was a very lustrous (sp?) metallic blue which didn’t look like a powdercoat at all. Sold it to someone on here a few years back and wondered how durability was/is ?
