in which direction should the split in a split crown race point?

I’ve always had it facing backwards, but surely that’s where all the force is projected. Shall I turn it around while my forks are off? 😆

Yeh, I’ve wondered about this

Wasn’t sure, so I cut 3 slots in mine – everyone knows triangles are strong

I put the split to the right side.
I wouldn’t be able to ride if it was to the left……
