if bottom bracket threads are lightly painted over……

can i just scratch off the paint thats on there or lightly sand it off?

just got a new (cheap frame) for a commuter build and the outside bb threads have been slightly painted over. the paint seems to flake off easy enough.

have i just answered my own question? time for a coffe i think!

Get an old BB cartridge cup, and cut some slots into it, and you can use that to chase out the threads

or nitromors and then blast it out with a hose
