I am going to start this on Monday. Treating myself to one last week of tiger bread!

I tried to look for an idiet recipe thread. Im sure I seen one before, but couldn’t find it.

So please feel free to post your fave recipes, whether it be for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I usually eat lots of pasta, bread and rice and only eat meat/poultry 2 or 3 times a week at present.

As someone who usually has rice with their chilli do you just omit the rice or replace it with something else? Im in the same boat with currys. I only eat veggie currys but i will miss chaptis!

Do you lay on the floor afterwards, with chilli streaks down your face and your tongue hanging out one side of your mouth.

Saleem, i would leave the man v food bloke for dead on a good day….. 😉

sweet potato was consumed in the shape of 5 chip shaped things.
i was gonna have a platefull, but felt guilt riddled all of a sudden, thinking of images of idave and solo stood over me, tutting and shaking their heads………… 😆

Of course, iDave is demonstrating the liberal spectrum of the iDiet, once you have emerged from the journey, fulled iDave’d, trim and generally happy at how it all turned out in the end.

However, if you’re just starting out, then remember, that you will probably make the odd error or misjudgement.
But as you will know, its not the end of the world.

So, sweet potato, no sweet potato ?.

Well, perhaps try to look at it this way.
When you try something for the first time or decide to introduce something into your diet.
Read-up on it first.
You know the iDiet premise, with respect to low GI and reducing the quantity of sugar in your general diet.
So, with this in mind, research your food items and then give them a go.

As has been pointed out before, its a basic template.
once you have it, then you get to play with it to tune it to what you’re wanting.

Ton, once you reach a weight you’re happier with, and when your body has adjusted to burn more fat for its energy.
Then sweet potato once a week aint gonna do any harm, imo.
In fact, with such a wide range of foods to choose from, I bet you’ll struggle to fit them in, 6 days a week.
😉
I’ll be keen to know how its going, if you care to post on your experiences.

Its all iDave’s work really.

Quite fortuitous this as I’m starting the one true way.

On Saturday (well Sunday actually, Saturday will be my anything goes day…).

I do find it strange that people struggle with food ideas, it’s not a difficult concept to follow, if anything it’s good that you’ve now dropped the meat and one veg route.

I had a lovely roast veg medley the other day – Butternut, carrots and parsnips cut long ways, a chopped onion and a shallot, a few chillies and garlic, a chopped pepper and some diced chorizo, seasoned and a tiny splash of olive oil. Bung it in the oven at 190 for 30 minutes and bosh. The oil from the chorizo flavoured everything in the tray making it rather awesome, will definitely be making it again.

do that ^^ with a couple of chicken breasts on top, slathered in harissa then wrapped in bacon… oh and more than a splash of olive oil

To receive a Free advise doc.

Others have written a nice e-mail to iDave.
Then, when he gets time, he’ll shoot off a reply with an attachment.

However, if you don’t get any joy.
(He’s got a crust to earn like the rest of us)

Then you can mail me, I have an old version, which I think is still relevant, although not having the latest revision, I can’t confirm this.

Tonight is/was a very quickly thrown together cottage pie style thing:

Few handfuls of veggie mince
Tin chopped toms
3 or 4 chillis
Onion
Cauli mash on top
Served with leeks/cabbage and gravy
Glass or two of red.[/*]
Ten minutes to prepare, absolutely lovely.

And just because i know you’re all interested…today was my iDay off.

Started off well – compliant breakfast of veggie sausage, toms and egg
Lunch – 3 x cheese on toast
Tea – Veggie burger/buns and fries. With onions, cheese & gherkins. Slowly working my way down a bottle of Vodka, and probably gonna hit up some Mini Egg Shnizzles in a while.
