Just finished Kok & Tvatt and started Moustache and Mullet. OCCD will be after that. So far I’m getting more use of of miss CDs Kindle xmas present that she is!

I am truly honoured to be waiting behind a moustache and mullet.

Neil, my Mum buys 200 copies a week from her pension. Cheapskate pricing seems to help, although the athletic handsome fellow on the front cover is clearly pulling in lots of lady sales.

I finished it the other evening and enjoyed it, some chapters more than others. Having dabbled in singlespeeding, road riding in The Alps and other bits it was good to read something pout much better than I could. I have also ridden a bit in Ireland, having lived in Mayo, and the end-to-end bought back memories.

650 a month is an insane amount. Thoroughly well done.

On a related note I received this gem about my book
“Felt like it had been written by a 11 year old. Ended up skipping over much of the book and was glad to finish “

    Now that’s a review. 😉

Good book Dave, 80% read in the last 2 days. Finishing off the chapter on the Dunwich Dynamo.

Interesting. I started off at 99p to get things started but putting up the price didn’t seem to harm numbers – plus of course you get to keep more of the royalty! Any advertising outside this hub of good taste?

DavidB, can you email me please? Ta.

I just “liked” you on Facebook btw. Not sure what this achieves!?

neil, it does help as all of your lovely friends get to see the “like” then rush like madmen/women to buy the book. I’ve done no other advertising apart from twittering to my meagre following and gobbing off about it to anyone whenever I get the chance. I’m committed to 77p now though as it’s mentioned in the reviews and to be honest it’s not exactly war and peace is it?

As Snoopy once said, “I’ve had the war, now I need the peace!”
On the subject of reviews, have you had much joy in getting mags, papers etc to review? I sent loads of copies out but zero response AFAIK. Even the CTC mag didn’t bother, despite repeated prompts. I would have thought K&T would have been right up their street.
Sorry, this is sounding like pathetic bleating now.

Neil, I’ve mailed you a long boring diatribe about it 😉

Just finished the book and thoroughly enjoyed it Dave. When’s the LEJOG redux out?
Looking forward to that one. I’ve no real aspirations to a full LEJOG but fancy a Lake district ish area to JOG one of these days.

    I’ll do an Amazon review.

bedmaker, I have a meeting with a publisher on Tuesday which may influence the date. At the moment it is looking like later this year, probably Oct/Nov. But if you want the route just email and you can have it. Thanks for doing the review, I can’t work out what has happened but sales went mental this week and it is now at number 1 in cycling 😉

Just finished reading this on download. Great book, easy read and enjoyable. Mirrored my own experiences in some parts and made me laugh. Cheers Dave.

I’m about three quarters of the way through and am really enjoying the book on kindle after a recommendation from SpookyB329.

One slight issue was that the road cycling bits were so enjoyable to read that they ended up persuading me to stop prevaricating and actually buy a road bike…if this carries on I will have to do the Etape du Tour 🙂

Just bought this in the iBook store.

    Good Luck.

Just bought, impressively it’s at No1 in Cycling and Travel, and 120 in all kindle paid for sales!

Neil – is your book available on the iBook store? I’m living in Finland at the moment, your description of the desolate, forest and bog-covered north and the desolate, forest and bog-covered south is very apt, just went bog trotting/forest getting lost this weekend near the place I’ve just moved to…

Hi SSBonty, sadly not at the mo – I am tied in to publish through Amazon exclusively at the moment, in order to make my book available on their lending library scheme. However, this is not proving very worthwhile so when that expires (in a month or so) I’ll look into getting it onto iBooks too.
Have you spent a summer there yet? A feast of mosquito-related fun!

Bumping this topic because I’ve just finished reading this book and it’s excellent. A truly good read. Now searching Amazon for something similar to carry on reading.
