If someone can tell me where I can find it, please let me know.

Even stuff I enjoy, such as riding bikes, has lost its “fun”. I still enjoy it, but it’s lost that “something”. It’s pretty much the same with everything else (with the exception of music).

Because it’s the only thing that gets my emotions going beyond the “that was ok” level.

I already have a CX bike, and religion is just delusion. I guess that leaves me with 650b….. 👿

I’m the same, can’t be arsed with much these days. Lost my MOJO for just about everything I’m interested in.
I blame my job & my attitude towards it.

Off to the docs on Monday to try & find out why. 🙄

    HNY though!

changes are good, even small ones.

I have to push myself a bit, I’m in a town crap for gigs but there’s city close, about an hour away thats awesome for gigs, I never used to bother because they were always on Tuesdays or some random week night, but now make a lot more effort, even though its only me going, I’ve seen some really cool (to me) stuff (Melt Banana sound check, plus a bunch of other randomness, lead singer of Dingus Khan giving his guitar to a small child for the entire set) I’d never have seen if i’d not got on with stuff

Have you considered clinical depression as an answer to this question?

It sound familiar to me. Symptoms are very varied but loss of enjoyment is one.

    Also very treatable.

If the music is the only thing doing it for you, do more of it. 🙂
I took 18 years off. What a waste

You need a dropper seat post, a tapered steerer, disc brakes, 11 speed gears and turquoise helmet. Or possibly a few actual mates(not webwombles) that wil make farting good fun just like before the wheel was even invented.

I was going to say depression.

Get to the doctor, be totally honest.

    Hope it picks up soon!

Towards the end of his life,JD Rockefellers only pleasure was the days on which he received his dividends.Sadly I’m starting to feel like that myself. 😕

Try a variation on a theme. You like riding, right? Twice in the last month we’ve forsaken our normal Monday night pub ride (not hard in this weather) for sessions BMXing. As you can see from the final posts on this thread, to say it was fun would be understating things massively! It was a right old laugh!!! Everyone finished up absolutely nackered, with dirty big grins on their faces, having literally spent the evening behaving like a bunch of big kids! 😀

The we all went to the pub for beer and crisps. Simple pleasures.

Prozac is a wonderful thing (for me), I’d lost my mojo then realised I’d been off the happy tabs for months, winter has arrived (didn’t see that coming…) so back on them again. Life is improving now 🙂

    Go see your doctor.

Been the same myself (age 54), works so kin boring it’s unbelievable but totally lost any drive to bike or get out at all. Going to give life a good go from tomorrow = exercise, weights to see if I can get my tostesterone levels up, eat well and a lot less booze.

If i don’t feel more energised by the end of January then I’ll be off to the docs for some help!

Hope you sort I mate, I’m so grumpy and knackered – it’s not funny at all!

Look for you local nhs Iapt (improving access to psychological therapies) team. They have a range off options you can access to help understand what’s wrong and how you go about fixing it…
I think you can self refer, doesn’t require GP.

You are just getting old… Happens to us all.

The realisation that more than half of life is over, the random aches & pains, the feeling of physical potential gradually ebbing away.

The shock of seeing some old dude staring back at you from the mirror… Frankly, it sucks big time. The only way to face it is never give up and keep seeking the company of worthwhile people.

(Coke & hookers probably also helps…)

On the other hand, maybe that’s just me…

Finding worthwhile people in some towns is not easy.
