is a sensible amount for a unlit country lane commute (in the dark!).
Currently got an old set of AyUp's on the bars which I believe are around 200 lumen which is not enough to stop pot holes etc... but how high do I need to go without offending cars coming the other way etc...
Before anyone points out the obvious I am talking "real" lumens as rated by Lupine etc... opposed to "Chinese" lumens with 5,000+ lumens from a key ring light...!
1,000 - 1,500...?!
Been a while since I looked at the light market and seems things have moved on a little..?!
I use my Hope Vision 2, which is about 200-250 lumen max. A flashing 7W LED along side. Can't imagine much more needed for road riding.
Given that I used to use 2 x 200 lumens for mountain biking including DH tracks - surely 200 lumens is enough for the road?
