Just bought a new hope brake with the tech lever and thought this would be a fit and forget, however the design of the lever means I can not use my existing shifter. The lever to change up is right where the rod pushes in to the cyclinder.

I have a Sram X9 shifter on another bike that looks like it will fit but I don’t want to get a new mech as well. The shifter is an old xtr one. Surely Hope thought of this when designing and you can run other shifters other than X9 or X0?

Does anyone else have these Tech levers with Shimano shifters? was going to buy a new xtr or saint one but would like to know if they fit first.

Pretty awful design isn’t it, try putting the lever on the other side of the shifter, and if they have windows then you’ll most likely have to remove them. I’ve found that with some shifters there isn’t enough clearance between the lower reservoir cap and shifter body, leading to one or other being mounted at a silly angle.I’ve also found the adjustable mounting bolt on the XTR makes the silly angle thing even worse.
