So is dangerous driving not a crime or leaving the scene of an accident.
If so people should be prosecuted whether they cause injury or not.

The police force, armed forces and national health services are fast becoming token gestures.

What winds me up, if you watch these police camera shows, the police catch criminals often known repeat offenders.
Then at the end it will then often state so and so was released with out charge or given a meaningless sentence.

No wonder these people have no respect for the police/law/justice system if they can do what they want and get away with it even if they get caught.

If someone knocks someone off a bike and drives off they should end up in court end of and if the driver is a professional driver they should be convicted of something that stops them ever being a professional driver again.

It’s not the knocking off of as we do occasionally have accidents it’s the driving away that should end their career.

Yeah the part I’m having bother with is that leaving the scene of an accident seems to be a less severe (or less prosecutable) crime if the accident hasn’t resulted in a serious injury. Surely the main reason that this is a crime in the first place is that they don’t know whether or not the victims require urgent medical attention.
