Ok, can’t quite work out what’s happening at the moment with the headset. I got an On One frame with the main part of the headset installed and am now trying to sort out fitting the forks to the frame. In the instructions for the remaining parts of the headset, the piece that goes onto the fork steerer is described as a split ring, which has been supplied, but the crown of the forks are rubbing on the bottom of the head tube and there doesn’t appear to be a very good seal at all from keeping mud and crud out of the headset.
There also seems to be another part, which seems to fit onto the fork steerer (with a bit of persuasion) and seems to cover over the bottom of the headset much better and doesn’t allow the fork crown to rub on the bottom of the head tube
Has anyone had any experience of FSA headsets and can you let me know what you did?
Before anyone suggests contacting FSA, I already have – I just haven’t had a response (from a day or so ago)
Cheers
