I’ve just bought some Hope tech v4 brakes but it turns out my shifters are an old type of mounting.

Im at a loss as what to do.

The shifters have a Shimano I-spec A mount

As far as I can see none of the adapters out there are for A

Ultimately I’ll go to one chainring upfront but I need a fix for going to Whinlatter this weekend.

Can you still get 3 speed shifters that are band on? Or know of an adapter?

If you cant find a solution, and you’re happy to write off the previous brakes, you can cut off the band and clamp part of the old brake. I’ve done this on an older iSpec A shimano brake so I coudl use the clamp for my old shifter. Was quite easy to do and didnt look terrible. It did make it a bit difficult to get the shifter in the perfct position, but I ran it like that for over a year. A bit of black sharpie pen to cover up the cut mark. Will see if I can dig up a photo and then work out how to upload it ?

Can’t find photos of the clamp end. But this is the brake end. It’s a total hack/bodge bit it worked great until I upgraded the shifters to something with a proper clamp.
