guy martin, what's gone wrong?

I’ve got a mate from Mansfield whose accent is very reminiscent of Guy Martin’s. Took a while to twig though, always assumed he was from some dark place near Bury.

I can confirm that his dad speaks in exactly the same way!

I was brought up in Lancashire and have lived here most of my life. My parents were both from the North East. As a result, I speak with a rather odd mix of Lanky/Geordie that turns more and more Geordie with the addition of beer.

I think TT riders are odd enough that I’d expect they all find each other odd.

ormondroyd, I know quite a few TT racers – I mechanic for one of my friends who races – and in all honesty these guys are all very normal people, they just have a different view on danger, it’s not that they’re fearless, quite the opposite in fact, they take a very calculated approach to risk.

Guy is is the exception that proves the rule 😉
