Anyone been up the black route last day or so? Stanes website says there was snow and ice on Monday. Hoping to go tomorrow and brave the winds as had originally planned Kirroughtree but that looks galeforce. Also does snow at Glentress mean snow at Inners? Any help mucho appreciated.

Did a night ride there (red route) on Tues – there were a couple of icy bits on the spooky wood climb and a couple on the descent as well – nothing major – after that was totally fine. Fog was the main problem for us – you couldn’t see anything – quite interesting…

Edit to clarify – it is likely that there will be some snow/ice near the top of black route.

That wasn’t “interesting”, that was stoopid 🙂

It has been fairly mild for the last couple of days – so should be fine.
