First off thanks to all who replied to my game over thread yesterday good info and inspirational to boot!Having had a chance to sleep on it i devised a plan.So this morning i went out on the full suss.Green lanes and a bit of forest path.Full on jay boy territory but still riding.Kind of reminded me why i started in the first place hearing new born lambs seeing deer etc etc just being out there.(not that i used to chose the “sickest lines dood!”)as anyone who knows me will testify .Going to be more creative and as it’s 2 years until my next scan will keep that in mind. After that who knows?i shall still only be 55 so if Osteo has stabilised then ride accordingly.
One thing does puzzle me though.Well more than one.If impact/jarring from riding is harmful with full suss and standing up off the seat a lot of vibration will have been absorbed before it gets to the back why isn’t walking bad for you?Full on jarring there. Also if walking is so good for the condition how come i got it in the first place?I’ve been a postie for 26 years and earlier i worked out that over that time i have done roughly 17000 hours of walking!!!!!!

    Yay! 🙂

I suspect your Osteoporosis is from some other factor – it has lots of causes, some unknown. You’re not asthmatic are you? Long term steroid user?

Surely keeping moving and exercising is better for the osteoporosis than sitting still and not moving?
Glad to hear that it won’t be holding you back, or at least not too much, anyway 🙂
