    As above;

    Serviced lowers but accidentally stroked the damper rod which released more oil from the damper, filled legs with correct amount of the recommended oil, now have a knocking noise/clunk on compression and a knock on rebound. Ridden for 3 hours since service and has not cleared.

    Air in system should self bleed? Is the recommended refill amount just to replace the naturally drained oil, so maybe I need to add more to compensate for the purged oil?

    Thanks

    When you say that there was oil coming from the damper where do you mean exactly?

    A lowers service doesn’t require removal of the damper?

    You’ve purged oil from the damper and not replaced it. Thats why.

    Oil in the leg is intended for a different purpose, although, the 36 design anticipates the damper ingesting some of the semi-bath – it’s why its the same in the leg as the damper.

    I’d not rely on that to top it up though, although I suppose it will over time, at cost of less fluid in the semi-bath.

    How do you replace it, I thought it was self bleeding and would take oil from the bath.Any help with how to refill it would be great if that’s not the case.

    Its auto bleeding, not auto filling.

    You take the top of the cartridge and tip it in.
