Gloucestershire Police have released footage of an altercation involving a cyclist and a pedestrian as they appeal for those involved and any witnesses to come forward.

The incident is believed to have happened at around 12.25pm on Saturday January 28 on the B4425 at Ampney Coln near Bibury.

On this day a woman called Gloucestershire Police to report that she had been assaulted by a cyclist who had been holding up traffic.

Officers have made a number of enquiries to locate this woman but it appears that the contact details she gave were incorrect.

As part of their enquiries officers seized footage that had been posted on Youtube that is believed to be connected to the same incident.

The footage shows a man cycling along a road when he is approached by a woman on foot who pushes him; they then get into an altercation.

So – who was doing the filming?

He’s not your stereotypical lycra lout, is he?

I wonder what preceeded it and what was said during.

did she get out of a car to do it and was filmed by the dirver?

of course she did not give the right details she assaulted someone for no real reason

Guessing she was in the car which was slowed up by the old chap riding down the lane so she got out to take a swing then stuck the footage up on youtube for people to laugh at. I’m assuming once the police identify her she’ll have some explaining to do.

I suggest driver has annoyed cyclist somehow, cyclist sees fit to block road in retaliation, passenger gets out to move him.
