An recommendations? I want to run them tubless with Stans Arch rims and they must inflate easily. I’m thinking schwalbe Rons or Ralphs,or Maxxis Aspens.Anyone else using these and how did they go up. I have always used UST on my 26ers but there doesn’t seem to be any for 29ers.

    thanks for any advice

WTB nanoraptors are fast no idea if they do a UST one or not though.

    hutchinson do ust 29er tyres.

i like racing ralphs – mine are old but didn’t tubless well. also have wtb vulpines and i haven’t tried but i wouldn’t want to tubeless that.

crossmarks are supposed to be good as are nanoraptors.

I’ve used 2.4 RR on front and Aspen on rear – fab combo

My favourites are Ralphs and Small Block 8s.
I’ve got some Furious Freds (I think they’re called) that look v.fast indeed, but will need all my powers of skill and concentration I think.

I used a Stans Crow on the rear last year and that was insanely fast rolling. It felt good too. Completely rubbish when not 100% dry though and it disintegrated after 3 24 hour races.
But it was the fastest tyre I’ve ever used off-road.

+1 for Small Block 8’s … my local bike shop said they had set them up tubeless but it was a mega faff. I might try them tubeless this year when I (finally)take the mud-x off.

pete68 I’ve done the Mud-X this winter tubeless ready, and it’s been great, don’t know about fast summer versions though.

Geax Saguaro tubulars are probably the fastest tyres I’ve ridden, Dugast Rhino XL are not far behind, you’d need new rims though.

Maxxis Aspens are also very nice in a clincher – work well tubeless. Very much a dry weather tyre though.

Geax Barro Race are very fast but come up pretty narrow – available in a TNT (essentially UST) version but beware they are VERY tight, and also a bit heavy. Offset somewhat by not needing to use much sealant though.

Ralphs are also good and suit a wider range of conditions than most credit them for IMO.

Bonty TLR are probably the best tubeless tyres I’ve used, though I’ve not got much experience on their fast summery versions. Mud X is my winter tyre of choice, and actually a very decent weight and a good all-rounder for the UK in anything but pure hardpack.

Spaecialized Fast Trak 29×2.0 are light and fast and a sensible price.
I use them for trailquesting and marathons.

for dryish/firm conditions i’ve used, crows, aspens (reasonable price at nextdaytyres), nanos and saguaros (not the tubs). all fast and have been durable for me, no problems tubeless on stans rims. for wetter/muddier racing i used 1.9 karmas, they did reasonably well but i want something better so going to try rocket rons.
as above, crows feel the fastest but all the others have more grip. others i have tried and wasn’t keen on were, crossmarks, weirwolfs, prowlers, bonty acx, rampage and maybe a couple i can’t remember.
