FFS. Absolutely ludicrous scenes. Merc messed up BIG time there. How did those pitting get out so quickly?! Seemed really fast. Was looking forward to another proper standing start. Didn’t get our 2 for 1

Did Merc mess up though ? – suggestion that they can’t call LH in, it’s all on the driver to decide when it’s on a formation lap. Which still leaves a tricky decision for LH at the front – what if he pits and everyone else reacts to that by staying out? (Probably better than this outcome though).

Interesting. I hadn’t realised that. Thanks for the clarification. Yeah it would have been bold for P1 Lewis to make that decision but as soon as P2 did it the whole field came in! Never seen anything like that restart before. Bizarre.
