Superb event thoroughly enjoyed it and want to do it next year, thanks! The riding was fun and atmosphere really relaxed. Loved the format and I know the classic format is three but it would be cool with a night stage..

Severe amount of climbing. Lots of stretching legs!

    I was ill today. 🙁
Did yesterday though and thoroughly enjoyed being mediocre. As you say, great atmosphere, all very friendly, a top event. Here’s hoping it becomes a regular feature. My first time at Lee Quarry too.

Food was decent too I thought, cheap and plenty of it. MM caterers take note!

Excellent weekend, really well organised. Great chilled out atmosphere and good riding.

The downhill and trials seemed about the right level (for me at least) and the cross country was more interesting than I imagine a lot of races are.

Quality, well priced food from the guy in the van.

Thanks to the guy from ride on who jumped on my wheel to get it nice and straight.

Just got home from the Weekender. I’m completely shattered. Confirmed today that Super Tacky, Dual Ply High Rollers are not the XC tyre of choice. Bit hard work on the ups but great fun on the downs.

Won the wheelie competition for the spot prize though which was sweet.

Great weekend, really good event and superb fun.

Great fun messing about on the bikes last night. Johnny Knoxville music and beer pose looked great!

Awesome weekend, sun burn and aches are not detracting from a top couple of days!

Does anyone know when and where the results will be posted?

Just finished a big chicken masala. I will be in bed very early tonight.

Couldn’t fault the weekend at all. Even the two downpours didn’t last too long.
Only comment I would add is it might have been good to have some water refreshment at the finish line today. There were some very hot peeps crossing the line.

Enjoyed the campfire tales and good company.

I was on the red and white RM Slayer if I spoke to you 8)

@Ju – did the car park track stand skills (Marin) help you on the trials part of the weekend? 😉

it all helps. Especially how to unclip really quickly! (got 4 of 5)I practised the rock steps without the tape so it was a new one on me. (that’s my story and i’m sticking to it.)

Plus people travelled from Scotland and Germany (and Luton 😉 ). If they can be bothered to spend a few hours on the motorway then surely other people can? Its not as if the north is awash with top quality bike events.

Full writeup with pics etc coming from me later but overall, f*cking AWESOME. Sign me up for next year!

i’m somewhat annoyed that i let the evening shower yesterday discourage me from putting my tent up and staying over, but other than that it’s been a fantastic weekend (i was marshalling at trials #5 for the first half yesterday, then right up by the start of the black run for the XC race today).
i drank beer for the first time in 20 years yesterday too (granted, it was erdinger alkoholfrei, but still!)
ed-o’s pole dancing was unconventional, to say the least…

And have you got contact details for them Tony so I can get them to come and do some skills training?

He bust open his CS gas canister and broke his handcuffs. Classic.

I did chat with them about off road training and I think they would like to do some. I’ll send you contact details tomorrow. Thanks again for your little guiding session this afternoon, made the kid very happy and I’m sure didn’t do us any harm with his father. More trails!

Brilliant weekend great to see so many friends and to meet many new people. Tony that is some excellent work there and can’t wait to see your other plans come off.

Well impressed by the turn out too for what was just a small event, families there too which was nice to see. Big up to Steely’s for the food really was top class and bargaintastic.

I’ll sort some pics probably tomorrow night after work.

I was gutted not to be able to see the XC race seen the start but then had to disappear to go family BBQ. What a cracking atmosphere it was not body whinging about the noise and lots of people circling the huge bonfire.

Great from a spectator’s point of view – couldn’t enter this year but it’s in the calendar for next!

You could all be sharing this on http://leequarry.ning.com by the way 😉

Yep, nice chatting with you last night Tony. Top work being done over there… if theres ever a job going for that kinda thing, drop me a line!

Ace concept Benj – it worked a treat. I may have come away with sore legs and coughy scratchy lungs, but I also got downhill PROGRESSION. Yay!

Plus, the remote control animatronic sheep were a great touch – all controlled by evil genius Tom Chippendale from his underground lair. As he does with the rest of the SingleTrack “staff” What, you thought they were real?

TonyL – Well done on all the hard work building the trails so far, is was great to see all the people up there. So much fun.
