My neighbour is looking to buy a new ebike for his wife.
Always on road or very easy paths (canal and the like).
Currently she has an older Bosch mid-drive Cube.
He has noted the Mahle x35 hub bikes and wondered if anyone any experience of them v a 'full-fat' ebike?
Thanks in advance.
Loads on youtube as comparisons for feel and noise.... I guess the power need on canal paths is pretty low, so nature of delivery and noise could be the main differences.
x35 is a hub motor so will that complicate puncture repair?
Dont forget the motor is only one bit of the package and the controls are important too.
I have 3 different ebike motors, the x35 is low weight ( 5 to 8kg lower bike weight ) Very low noise and a seemless transition over 15mph , usually come with a poor combined button / display .Around half (or less ) power than a Bosch.
Fazua is a good half way house.
