Any user views? Particularly interested in the EXM 150mm version with the 15mm axle.

Are they stiff legged, reliable, nice damping and all that stuff?

I’ll be coming off some coil Lyriks which are just sooo nice, but also about a pound and half heavier. I need all the help I can get right now!

I picked up some bargain 15mm XMM140s from bike24.de last year. They are pretty stiff compared to a pair of 15mm Fox RL forks I have on another bike. Probably not as plush out of the box; they took a good dozen or so rides to bed in (with lots of deliberate rocky lines taken!).

You will notice the difference in weight going from coil to these. Initially I found them quite a hard ride. It took me a while to set them up. Lots of adjusting the rebound/compression and air pressure to suit my weight and riding style. Haven’t had to touch them since though. 200 hour service interval suits me!

Bit shorter but my new bike came with XRM100s…..super-smooth from the get go, very very happy with them.

I’ve got some XMM140s. Very stiff, good lock down feature and good over big hits. They are very poor over small bumps though – too much high speed compression damping which is not user adjustable and I can’t seem to get the balance of sag to dive right. I’m about to send them off to Pace for them to put lighter damping oil in, which hopefully will improve things. The EXMs are a different damping set-up, so might be better.

I’ve got the EXM150’s and they’re brilliant. Really plush and super stiff – I’ve had them 4months now, with no issues. Set-up takes a little while and it’s odd in how they don’t sag but are still plush (I think this seems to be a feature of the ABS air spring design).

The other BIG adavantage of the EXM forks is that they can be serviced in full, at home, as it has the LC2 damper (as opposed to Single/Twinshot dampers which have to go to a service centre.

I have nothing useful to add.
