Has anyone had a CUES Cassette long enough to comment on the rust resistance?

The beautifully shifting but very rusty XT 10 speed cassette on my commuter has seen better days in terms of rust and it’s done at least 4 chains so i think i can justify replacing it. The CUES cassette is supposed to nickel plated and claims to be more rust resistant. I’m wondering if its worth spending the extra of swapping the other bits to a CUES set up, most to keep it looking shiny

I can’t tell with the black oily lube mess all over it!

I’m a waxer rather than oiler so rust has been an issue on cassettes. In fairness it only looks unsightly, everything still works. But for a bike that gets used in all weather it would nice if it was still vaguely shiny!

I don’t find rust an issue with putolne, enough wax gets worn off onto the cassette that it seems to keep it at bay.

Could you give it a spray with something like Scotoiler UBS (other rust inhibiting waxy/watery solutions are available, lanoguard, ACF-50 etc).
