Yes, i get this too. Never considered it a problem as it doesn't feel cold when i'm riding.

I get this also. Like Ton says I think it's all the areas where I'm carrying a bit of fat - no blood vessels I assume!!!

I think its a case of fat just dont get as warm as muscle. At least thats the way i find it.I find i feel cold to touch but warm inside.
Oh and you could always pedal harder

Possibly too many layers on your belly causing you to sweat more and the sweat is then chilling against your body rather than wicking away. 2 bibs, 2 jerseys, and a jacket - that's a hell of a journey for the sweat 😉

+1. The wind layer changes depending on how cold it is. I'm using one of these at the mo

True, disregard my first thoughts! I normally wear a base and a windproof and my skin can be cold to the touch as well. I too carry excess ballast around my middle (",)

Guess it's just sweat doing what it's meant to do - cooling the skin surface to dissipate body heat.

its a variety of things causing it. Easiest way to solve is to wear a windproof gilet.
Russtler have got a cheapish Sugoi that works great for keeping your torso warmer

I'm with you on this!
I sometimes get it bad enough to give me stomach pains and cramps.
It's caused by wind chill and lack of blood flow heat because your belly isn't near a muscle group being used.I don't have much of a belly, but am guessing that our plumper brethren get it worse because thick fat has little chance of warming quickly.

Bloody hell! I almost sound like I know what I'm talking about! 😯

Can I be part of the STW hierarchy now and pontificate at will? 🙂

I use a waterproof or a Polaris jersey with a windproof front panel. Am currently looking for another jersey, but am struggling to find one with that windproof front. Does anyone here know of any bargains about at the mo? (I'm talking about £30-40 not £100 plus fashion items)

I get it and I haven't got a round belly, arse cheeks can be cold too, anywhere where there is fat (even a little) will be cold on the outside but still feel warm on the inside. I wouldn't worry about it - unless you get cramps like shiny.

we are not poikilothermic (unlike crocodiles) and those parts NOT served by a ready supply of hot blood go black and drop off. You skin may feel cold.
