Any decent riding in this forest or the area in general? I’m currently scouting new places to ride and this place interested me on the maps.
Any info much appreciated including GPX’s you may have.

Not much apart from fire roads and the Foel Gasnach downhill runs from what I remember. Lived that way a few years ago and explored it a few times. It may have developed since though.

Yep, lots. We at NWMBA used to run an event there a few years ago. I am no longer involved in the club but if you contact Adrian Walls on the NWMBA Facebook page he should point you in the right direction.

That brings back memories – I used to race sled dogs there in the late ’80’s. Happy days!

There’s a down hill section, and lots of fire roads, but not much in between.

It’s also holds water well so go after a dry spell if you want to stay dry.

Plenty of bivi spots and a nice cafe at the lake side visitors centre.
