My Volvo V40 is starting to creak around the seams and so I’m picking up a newer (’06) Citroen C4 on Wednesday.

Does anyone on here have one and if so what method do they use for carrying their bikes? Internal, roof-mount or towball mounted carrier?

Many thanks in advance for any helpful advice and ya boo sucks to you for any “ooo, shouldn’t have brought a French car” comments.

5 door – 1 bike – front wheel / saddle off and bung it in the back – needs to go in at a bit of an angle (unlike my old punto which took them straight). 2 bikes – needs back wheel off too. 3 bikes / 3 adults was easy enough with a bit of careful packing.

ours has been fine over 3 years/50k miles. slight problem last year with a leaky radiator, but only other gripe would be that the radio doesn’t seem to get on well with my mp3 fm transmitter… 🙂

Towbar (£100 supplied) and thule 3 bike carrier (£100 out of halfords a while back) the inside roof lining will probably be light grey (you do not want to get that dirty)
I have a C5 they aren’t as bad as people make out

Nice car, I like mine a lot.
I put two on the roof and two on the towball.
