Is this the white stuff which has worn off my seat tube since buying it?

I have had to completely clean my seat post and collar etc. Now within a couple of miles my knees are hitting my chin.

Will carbon paste stop it slipping?

Its a AL clamp, frame and post.

    cheers

    Yes, although maybe you’ve an under/over-sized tube/post/collar?

Probably. It fixed a slippy alloy post on my aluminium-framed bike, no carbon bits in sight. Still have to really heave on the seat-clamp though.

I had problems with a carbon post slipping in my C456 when I first got it. The finish line stuff worked, no more problems
