    From their Facebook page
    UK MADE PARTS AVAILABLE NOW
As with many other bike retailers at the moment, we are having some problems with supply due to issues in the far east following the global pandemic, leading to stock outages. We can only apologise for this. We recognise that our biggest problem is that we have been letting the riders down on spare parts availability. Therefore, we are proud to announce the launch of our UK-made spare parts programme.
We have worked really hard to ensure these are of an improved quality on anything we have made before and we’re stoked that we’re producing them in our local machine shops in Sheffield, England, from stainless steel and 7075 aluminium in a variety of colours to match to your bike.
The parts that will initially be available, for the Bossnut and Triple B will be: mech hangers, main pivot bolt kit, chainstay & seatstay pivot bolt kits, thru axles, shock bolt kits, rocker link hardware kits and replacement bearing kits. We are also producing thru axles and mech hangers for the Sentry, Line 10, Line 20 and Line 29.

Yeah I saw that on their Instagram. As a sentry owner it’s not been an issue for me but it sounds like spares for bossnut/BBB have been hard to come by. Nice that their made in Sheff too. Uberbike maybe? They still want 50% more for a rear axle than I paid for a brand x one that fits perfectly though..

It’s good to see them supporting both their customers and local industry. There are a lot bigger and more prestige brands doing less (just shrugging and blaming COVID or Brexit without coming up with a solution). And their bikes are nice to ride as well. I’m currently riding a Line 29 hard tail (with -2 slackerizer) which I bought as a cheap stopgap and its holding up well for commuting, trail centres (when you could go) and towing the kiddy trailer.

They’ve been getting (quite rightly) killed for it for a while, there’s some known recurring hardware quality issues that they not only couldn’t supply replacements for but were still selling the bikes that would possibly need replacements that they couldn’t supply (and not taking parts from the new bike pipeline to supply to people waiting for warranty parts, too). Not exactly a bike industry first, but pretty weak. Good to see something coming out of it though.

Also quite interesting to see Polygon now selling some of the bikes under their own brand

    Link doesn’t work.

And they’re still listing the wrong rear mech hanger for the line 20.. it’s a qr skewer not thru axle. Been on at both them and go outdoors since the summer now, and can’t even get a reply anymore. Decent bikes let down by shocking customer service unfortunately

I wish they’d provide a bit more detail on what models the parts are for. I’ve got the latest version of the Bossnut but mostly the part details just say Bossnut without reference to what version/year it’s for.  Unless they’re actually common to all.

Excellent and good to know. I like the brand a lot, I used to have a BBB and now have the brilliant Sentry. I’ve gone through the guys at the local store when I’ve had issues and it’s the best customer service I’ve ever had from a bike shop, they were brilliant. They just need to do that everywhere and online by some of the comments above and this sounds like a good step in that direction 🙂
