Thing is, as Johnson can no longer keep a government together, the person he should be resigning to is the Queen, not his party. By not resigning, he is embarrassing her as the system involves the monarch delegating their powers so that the country is governed, whilst keeping them away from making political decisions. Currently the only way to ensure the country is governed right now is for the Queen to sack her Prime Minister.

BBC reporting that he’s agreed to leave, but wants to stay on as caretaker until the autumn.

I dont know. I think it is just he is deluded.

I am hoping May gets put in as temporary PM though just to annoy him. It makes sense she wont be competing for the job again and has the experience.

If he stays on, just think of the damage he will cause until then.
