I’ve had the LTc for a year now after having yeti 575’s in the past, the bike is absolutely the best thing ever – climbs fantastic and descends brilliantly, rode everything from 7 Staines to local rides and it gives me so much confidence to attack anything. Had to change shock bushes a few too many times but wouldn’t change it for anything… Get one!!!!!

Didn’t spot this thread before… here is my obligatory picture:

2013 large with 150mm blackbox u-turn revs, crests on pro2s, full XT, reverb, thomson and easton havocs – 26.4lbs with those tyres (hans dampfs)

    GIZZAGO!?!?

you’re not the first to ask 🙂 Trouble is, it is sooooo much fun, it is hard to get off and let people try it! 😀

I bet. I do love my LTc but I find myself leering at TRc’s in an inappropriate manner 😀

DAVE-what height are you? Think large is quite small compared to some other brands version of large….

5’11” – the large is spot on for me

For comparison, I’ve also got a medium Covert, which is a bit short for me, but nice and chuckable, so great for what I use it for.

Oh it’s my size too 😉

Well that review made for interesting reading not what I was hoping to hear! It might dictate that I go carbon. The one thing I’m hoping to end up with is a more poppy bike!

    What size are you wanting?

Boxxer, you as I may know of a TrC for sale…

I’m suprised about the alu review but with the extra weight it makes sense. I can’t believe how playful the carbon version is, it’s extremely easy to launch of the slightest of bump or root.

Kinger I’m smack between a medium and large, really need to try one to see.

    What size & how much?

the review seems all over the place, keen to get a weight point across but never sure how.

The weight looks comparable with the LT/LTc difference having demo’d a LT and tried my missus’s LTc I’d be happy going for it. Especially in JPS Black and Gold.

I’d like to know size and price as well 😀

As an aside, what do people think is a fair price second hand?

    Urgh, that picture is pornographic.
Contains both the things I genuinely lust over in the MTB world – a carbon Tr and XX 1×11 groupset. I hate you.

    This may help with size

I tried a medium TRc and it seemed right, the longer top tube makes it fit better for me compared to my medium heckler (i’m on the limit for reach there)

For price I’d say look along the Blur LT line and the kits will come out the same. The US prices are in line with that and they work out comparable with VAT & Import duty etc.

Which one are you looking at second hand fathomer?

Am thinking of selling my medium white TrC frame to fund a van….

Mikewsmith heading down to my local dealer that’s on their next Saturday for a chat. Only thing is not really sure where they are going to let you demo the bikes.

Most shops have a demo loop if they have done it before, Biketreks had 2 or 3 variants of 2 hrs out of ambleside. enough for a proper thrash about and a good road & tech climb.

If it’s not organised then it’s normally leave ID & deposit and get somewhere fun as fast as possible

I’d love a TRc, I can’t afford a full price one but not sure I’d buy a second hand one as it’d still be pretty expensive with no warranty.

If I could find a new one for £2 to £2.1k I don’t think I’d be able to contain myself.

I’m hoping the latter of the two if possible as there is plenty of riding within an hour of the shop.

Boxxer, don’t know where in the world you are but two wheels in stourbridge might have a demo bike?

I have a TRc bought last Feb and I simply love it! 140mm Crossmax ST XO 1×10 Hope M4 Reverb Easton Havoc bars simply a do anything bike……for me anyway!
End of the year will replace the frame and in all honesty it will be another TRc.

Tried Yetis, Specs, Treks and others……simply IMHO the SC TRc was miles better,

    simonm

you replace TRcs yearly ? WTF are you a banker ?

    matt23

No fella will have had it two years…….it’s what I have done tbh ride the bikes hard and if they are feeling worn n tired then replace them.

If I were a banker……I would have a fleet of them oh and a nomad to!! 🙂

    simonm

Im an engineer and had a nomad (C) and the Trc 😉
