Anyone else on Bluesky?

Is there anyone I should be following? So far it’s the War on Cars and XKCD…

I’m on there as ‘mrstevious’. Haven’t seen any must follow accounts yet but every now and again I’ll look at who someone is following and see where that takes me.

I there obviously isn’t the breadth of stuff on there that twitter has but as an overall experience it seems promising. At the moment it’s mostly just individuals messing about which is kind of fun.

Twitter alternative backed by the people who originally set up Twitter. Still slightly beta, mind you, and by invitation only – people who are in get invites about every two weeks. Can DM you one when I’ve a spare if you want?

Just running back through this thread, which reminded me that I haven’t been on Bluesky lately, which is my default with social media anyway, and noticed the XKCD mention, so that’s someone I’ve got to follow – might encourage me to get on there more often.

Do people post cat videos on there? That’s the best bit about twitter.

It doesn’t support video yet (which as I type out seems pretty wild for the year 2023) but the sheer amount of cat photos makes me feel that your wish will be granted fairly swiftly.
