My preference would be my two bikes with the ability to take them both on a ride and have them magically transported to the relevant part of the trail ready for me.
My favourite place to ride has a lot of rocky singletrack, with lots of steep pinches both up and down. I’d like my carbon hardtail to be available for all the flat sections and the climbs, and at the top of each hill my FS will be waiting for me to attempt to smash the wheels off it on the way down.
I’ve never been able to climb well on an FS, but it’s getting embarrassing. I’ve ridden recently with guys I can just about keep up with everywhere but on the climbs. I’m completely dropped. One of them had the cheek to say “oooh, it’s nice climbing at this pace” when he was behind me the other week!
