What's an app?

Instagram
FS5 Hockey (airhockey)
Sleep talk
My Translator Pro
Find iPhone
Starwalk

Top for me is Viewranger, a GPS package that uses OS maps. Record your routes on OS maps. Email the GPX files to mates with Garmins. Recieve GPX files for future rides. Great app that just about does everything a Garmin does.

Don't think anyone mention free sat navs yet.

Try NavFree or Waze for the car

CycleStreets, Bike Hub and Sustrans for urban biking.

MotionX GPS for "proper" MTBing (i.e. navigating by waypoints)

Despite it being a resurrected thread, I will throw a few in anyway

weatherpro knocks the socks off metoffice or any other weather app I have tried, worth paying the annual subscription, its only a few quid.

Peaks identifies the hills and mountains you point the phone at, pretty cool for outdoorsy types. http://peaks.augmented-outdoors.com/

nightsky does a similar kind of thing for star constellations. http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/the-night-sky/id475772902?mt=8

I can buy tickets through a Deutsch bahn app on my phone and if requested by an inspector show the ticket on the phone.
Online banking app from my bank, includes navigation to nearest cash machine.

TomTom for navigation

Then lots of standard stuff, IMDB, wikipedia, facebook etc.

If you bank with Barclays, get their full banking app. Once set up, it's superb! So very very useful, if like me you can't be arsed to log in to your online banking by using the chip and pin thing every time :/

Second IMDb. No more "Where have we seen him/her moments" when watching films or tv.

Did anyone mention:

SnapSeed (very good photo editor)
Microsoft PhotoSynth (stitches photos on the fly)
Camera Genius (better camera, seperates focus and exposure points)
SynthCam (replicates very wide apertures using multiple shots)

Splice, Panorama360 and PS Express are good if you are into photography, plus Movie Mount is better than the camera app, I think. I'm planning to get the Makayama tripod case for my iPad, too. Looks really usefully for video. Anyone know where I can get some lenses to use with it?
