Best and worst Xmas present this year?

Not on Christmas day, but close enough – a son.

Congrats…dad!

Best: A Primos Gen2 Trigger stick from the kids, a Laksen tweed shooting coat from Mrs Scape and a bottle of Ardbeg 10yr old from the dog.

Worst… really cannot think of anything that disappointed me. Even the traditional tat stocking fillers were entertaining.

Best- a full night’s sleep last night for the first time in a month, instead of being awake for 2 or 3 hours in the middle of the night 😀
2nd best- a Cotic MTB jersey that matches my Soul 😀
Worst- nothing! Had no naff presents for a change, after last year’s low of a green plastic handbag!

Best – slippers, hat and a t-shirt..
Worst – two small ‘spell candles’ from Glastonbury, apparently endowed with magical properties..
(I should probably include the bottle of rum from my mil which I immediately had to pass on to someone else, after a rum fuelled two day bender with a very dodgy mate last weekend nearly earned me a divorce)

Best present, a GoPro Session from my two best friends 8).
Worst, cheap aftershave, might just use it for degreasing and firestarting 😆

One of my favourites: after telling a couple of employees that I disliked presents – they baked me biscuits in the shape of bicycles! I’ve nearly finished them they were lovely biscuits and very thoughtful gift

My mother in law got me one of these (well like one of these, not this actual one as this one looks expensive whereas the one I got looks less so):

Worst – key locater thingy that works via bluetooth but the app is full of crap that nearly bricked my phone

However, that pales into insignificance compared to what my other half’s father got her. She is a vegan and he has a history of buying completely inappropriate or otherwise shite presents. This year he got her a coat which not only was it two sizes too big and not something she would wear anyway also had the added bonus of being made of nappa lamb leather. Classy.

Worst: Nothing, really, except that Father Christmas left me two packets of fig rolls, and after 6 months of limited riding, I really don’t need them.

No worst presents – most of the rest I paid for myself, so if they’re crap it’s my own fault 😀

Thanks guys, I risk monopolising the thread now! Suffice to say (I think) he’s beautiful, and surfing STW at 5am with him sleeping in my lap I feel will be an increasingly common occurrence.

Good work Sir, splendid news about the PlayStation. 😉 They’re fanatastic fun in the long run, might as well throw away the receipt, as temprental as they are you get used to having them around and sort of attached.

Best Present:

Didn’t get a single bad gift, seriously.

Best: watching my boy ride just over 1km on a balance bike in QECP and when asked what he thought about getting caked in mud and the bumps … “it fun!” (He’s 2 years old) and this is the first time he’s ridden anywhere other than the path at the local park.

Worst: not seeing my in law’s at all and not getting to see my friends until today.

Best obsessive cycling disorder hoodie or some snazzy addidas trainers to replace my very old gazelles

Worst seeing the kids crying when they found out I had to work Christmas eve Christmas day boxing day and new years day 🙁

Just opened a very nice etched jug. Mrs Zip will love it but personally it’s not doing it for me.
