    Still looking for a used 2014-2016 Berlingo / Partner that doesn’t get sold before I can reserve it.

    Does anyone know if any of these 1.6Hdi or 1.6 BlueHdi models have a DMF fitted, as there is a dearth of information on this and it’s something I would like to avoid if possible.

    Specifically the 90bhp or 115bhp Hdi or any of the newer Bluehdi engines?

    You’ll be looking back to about 2005to find a car without one.

    There’s nowt wrong with them so long as you don’t abuse them.

    I’ve heard that the DMF’s were used on the 1.6 Hdi, but then some versions of it went back to SMF.
    It seems almost like random choice.

    The French car forum had these statements.

    “The Berlingo went DMF with the 1.6hdi now its gone back to a SMF with the same engine.

    I can only see 2 models:- DV6FC FAP 88KW and DV6TED4BU FAP (DMF to RPO 12074) that had ever had Dual Mass Flywheels out of the 16 variations of the 1.6 DV6 engines fitted to the Berlingos. All the rest were already fitted with Single Mass Flywheels. Only the second one mentioned above had a DMF, then went to SMF from RPO 12075.”

    It’s probably not an issue either way, but just something I would like to be aware of.

    Stick the reg into eurocarparts and see what clutch it tells you that you need.

    I’ve done that, but it only works with about 30% of the registrations I put in.
    Against the model year and engine, I get about 6 different makes of both dmf and smf.
    I did find two that worked.
    The older one had the dmf, while the newer one had the smf, according to ECP.

    Strangely, the dmf was significantly cheaper than the smf.

    Update for reference.
    The information I’ve found suggests that they went DMF, only on the higher powered diesels and then went back to SMF.

    Catcar lists the DMF as being fitted to the 110hp version up to OPR 12074

    From OPR 12075 it lists the standard flywheel.

    it might be that the vans were fitted with smf as vibrations in the cabin are less of a concern in commercial vehicles?
